Cleopatra’s statement

Julius Caesar felt that his “face” was threatened with Cleopatra’s statement. He wanted to protect his “face” but he avoided to be direct because he didn’t wanted to be harsh to Cleopatra. He didn’t respond to Cleopatra that there’s still a community which he hadn’t conquered yet. Instead, he indirectly said that he didn’t want to talk on that subject.
